Mega Hobby Expo 2017 Autumn – Alter, Revolve, and More

Today, the HobbyLink Japan crew headed to Akihabara to check out the latest and greatest anime figures at MegaHobby Expo 2017 Autumn! There are plenty of new surprises on the way from MegaHouse, Alter, Licorne, and more, and you can see them all here.

First up is Alter, along with Revolve, Hobby Japan, Licorne, and Aniplex!

Alter
Alter brought their A game to MegaHobby Expo, with a small but incredible lineup of new figures that will be available for pre-order soon! Some of our favorites included their 1/7 Sorey and Mikleo figures from “Tales of Zestiria the X.” The figures look wonderful on their own, and even better when paired together! We’re also excited for their new “Sword Art Online” figures of Asuna and Sinon, and their figure of Jeanne d’Arc from “Fate/Grand Order”with her massive flag and cape!

Revolve
Revolve is a new and upcoming manufacturer who always has a few surprises in store for us at hobby events. This time they showed off their highly anticipated figure of Holo from “Spice and Wolf,” who looks incredible even without paint! They also showed off two characters from the popular browser game, “Touken Ranbu.”

Aniplex
Aniplex manages to top themselves every year, and their newest lineup is truly outstanding! While this manufacturer is strictly exclusive to their own webshop at this time, they’re so impressive that we have to show them off anyway. The figure that stood out the most this round was their gigantic statue from “Devilman,” which featured several characters all in one! They also brought their ever-growing collection of “Fate” series figures, and a cute figure of Maika Sakuranomiya from the new anime “Blend S”!

Hobby Japan
Hobby Japan’s booth features figures by Amakuni, which are all quite beautiful, and unfortunately exclusive. But just like Aniplex, they’re too good not to talk about! Their figures from “Persona 5” were especially amazing, with one including a highly detailed bike and another featuring a light-up base! They also had new figures from “Kill la Kill,” a gorgeous Racing Miku, new characters from “Fate/Grand Order,” and more!

Licorne
Licorne is a fairly new company with only a few figures under their belt, so we were happy to see them coming out with another new figure so soon. Continuing with their “THE iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls” lineup, they’re bringing out another LiPPS member featured in the “Tulip” CD, Kanade Hayami!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.
