Kamen Rider Decade

After looking at my collection, I noticed my translucent Alien X figure/I have another one though that one is a different one with glitter in his mold to simulate the stars on the animation model’s body in the Ben 10 Alien Force won’t stand up straight.

So, after a while, I decided to customize the Alien X figure into Chinomanako from Kamen Rider Decade.

Chinomanako is a monster from Shinkenger’s world that stole the DiEnd Driver from Kamen Rider DiEnd. The Driver corrupted the monster to the point where he didn’t need the special properties of the Sanzu River to stay in the human world. Chinomanako uses the DiEnd Driver to become a monstrous version of DiEnd.

In terms of the figure, I sanded the chest down with 400 grade sand paper and made the head immobile/Chinomanako didn’t move his head much in the show either. I then used some self-hardening clay that I found at an art store to make the shoulder pads and to add some bulk to the figure to make him look more closer to the dude on the show. I also used some hard card stock to make the basis for his chest, his back, and the belt of the character.

To make the clay stay on the figure, I used Krazy Glue which works well, but be careful because you could stick your fingers together.

If you have any questions about the custom, please let me know as I’m actually still new to customizing and I’m still learning even to this day.

PS: The reason why the figure is unpainted is because I’m waiting until I’m able to go out to my local paint store and buy some brown spray-paint as Chinomanako has a brown under-suit with patches of blue on the arms and legs. He kinda reminds me of Eye Guy from MMPR, to be honest. I could just paint on the brown myself, but I feel that the spray-paint is better to use.

I’ll make a new post when he is fully painted.

  4. Thanks for the compliment, kamenrider88.

I recently got the 1/144 HG Gundam Age-1 and am contemplating custom-painting it into metallic colors.
