Gunpla TV Special – L.A. Anime Expo 2015

Yes, for the first time Syd and Ryan took their act outside of Japan to Anime Expo in Los Angeles, California. HobbyLink Japan had booths 622 and 624 and Syd and Ryan were there to talk to fellow Gunpla enthusiasts, check out the cosplayers, and conduct group builds for fans and newcomers alike. Our original plan was to make one video a day during the event however (and we really should have realized this sooner) there was so much going on we just couldn’t get it done. So join us now for a review of our experiences at L.A. Anime Expo 2015!

Kits featured in this episode:
1/60 PG Unicorn Gundam 2 Banshee Norn
1/144 HGBF Kamiki Burning Gundam
1/144 HG Prototype Gouf
1/144 HG Zaku II High Mobility Type Ortega
Frame Robo Gaia Frame
Frame Robo Mars Frame
Frame Robo Mercury Frame
1/144 HGBF Lightning Z Gundam

  2. Nice to see you guys again! Been watching your older episodes while waiting for your new post. Glad to hear that you had a great time at the Anime Expo event.

Wish I had enough time to build my own diorama, but I know it takes a whole lot of time and patience. Plus, I think my skill is still a bit lacking in the diorama-building department. Still experimenting on the best way to tackle my Gunpla kits.

Btw, you caught some of my work when you stumbled upon the Soda Pop/Ninja Division/ Super Dungeon Explore booth. Hehe!

  8. Great show as always, yay Banshee! To Syd did you actually like the Build series Anime? yeah some of the Suits were cool, but for the anime itself what were your thoughts? And for Ryan it may not be Star Wars but what about you, did you watch it? Thoughts?

Growing bigger and bigger , I guess anime did quite a good job on expanding the crew.

  17. Hi Syd and Ryan, love your show!! this is the first time I wrote a comment on your show, keep up the great work. I’ve been building gundam kits since I was a little kid, I’m 28 now and still can’t get enough of gundam and plastic model kits in general. I saw some FramesArms kit on your very first episode and bought four different ones, great little kits, the frame is a bit fragile though. After finding you guys I bought several kits from you so far and the prices you guys have are awesome. Would love to go to comic-con or to Japan at lease once, would be soooo much fun. Again, Love your show, don’t stop putting up episodes. Thanks.
