Gunpla TV – HGBD:R Gundam Aegis Knight

A new kit so top secret, we couldn’t even show you the box last week! An upgrade to the previous Gundam Justice Knight, the Gundam Aegis Knight has arrived. This kit is packed with features: amazing articulation, multiple transformation modes, weapon combinations, effects parts, and more! To top if all off, if you have the rest of the Build Divers unit sets, there’s more for you in store!

In this episode:
1/144 HGBD:R Gundam Aegis Knight

If any kits in this post are backordered when you read this, don’t worry — Bandai is great about restocking periodically. But, you’ll want to get your order in to secure a spot in line for the next restock!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  4. You keep saying “Shoulder Pauldrons”. Maybe I’m mistaken, probably am, but I thought there were _only_ Shoulder Pauldrons?

Honestly, this feels like a kit that if I did pick it up, it would just be for parts to detail up a Justice Knight. Ideally I’d want to get the Cape and Sword parts from the Try Age Gundam… Shame that to get them in red would need 2 sold out P-Bandai kits…

Unless, does anyone know if its possible to paint the transclear blue parts on the tryage magnum to a decent looking red? I’m guessing basic color theory will stop me, but, maybe someone knows better? Hopefully?

  5. I’m pretty sure fans of the anime have are caught up with the show and are aware that GundamInfo’s official YouTube channel posts episodes every week. Seeing that they’re the official channel…

    I’m wondering…
With the release of HG GAT-X303K Gundam Aegis Knight does Bandai intend on making an HGCE GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam (Revive)?
The original kit came out in 2002 and was recolored & re-released in 2011 (same kit but just recolored).
Regardless, the MG GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam is enough for me. However, I still think it would make sense for Bandai to at least update the HG version.

I’m not surprised though that the HG uses parts from the HG ZGMF-X19AK Gundam Justice Knight since it’s a new design & the mobile suits are very similar to each other.

It should not be a surprise that HG AGE-TRYMAG Gundam TRY AGE Magnum had issues with the wrist since the kit is based on the HG AGE series of kits.
Those are good but not designed in mind with the additional parts that the HG AGE-TRYMAG Gundam TRY AGE Magnum adds.

I suppose the _Assault Combat Mode_ is the aspect that is from the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam since the GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam does this too when it transforms into its MA Attack Mode.

    The King Mode looks good.

I suppose fans of this HG will get 3x of it:
    1 for the standard mode
    1 for the King Mode
1 for recreating HG PFF-X7II/BUILD DiVERS Re:Rising Gundam in the standard color

  6. Aegis Knight looks solid. Also looks like the only way to get the Core II is with the Uraven, which explains why that and not the Jupitive is included in the 4-pack.

  8. Its funny how Bandai didnt use the name “Aegis gundam” on any of the frames to stress out that they are not remaking aegis. Yet

  9. Seems to be pretty well designed for an HG

  10. Kazami was maybe my favorite character from Re:Rise but his Gundams weren’t my style.
