  2. Hey guys, awesome show. Been watchin since the early episode all the way out here in Australia. Just got 2 quick questions. First is for Ryan, since you lived in Australia for awhile did you have follow a AFL team? And for Syd, are there any bases that would light up a MG unicorn like the FA unicorn at the previous hobby show?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

  3. Syd,
You say you don’t do major mods. What would you call your Sonic Marasai then? It would be an awesome kit to show your talent. Keep up the great work guys

  7. Hey guys, keep up the good works. I have a question though. I usually spray flat coat on the runners first then build it and panel line it. So should I panel line it first then spray flat coat?

    • You flat coat the runners first and then build it? I’ve never heard of such a thing. I kind of want to try that method out.

  8. The Danboard looks really nice.
Syd – Can’t wait to see you start building the pre-2000 kit.

I’ve been wondering for a long time if to get one of those MGs as some models were not 2.0oed

    I have a general question.
In terms of time and complexty how does a Real Grade scale to an MG?
Iv’e been considering for some time trying on a RG but I fear it will be too close to the HG kits. On the other hand I did read people claiming they are more complex then some MG kits.

Can you guys talk about this? Perhaps elaborate on the amount of parts etc?

Thanks (And thanks for answering my question regarding the EX white base)

  10. Ryan-san,
I think it is better to spray the clear coat on a painted test piece, befor you spray on your falcon. Sometimes, the B51X series spray makes a frozen looking surface depending on humidity and base paint (Not Good for acrylic).
Water base spray paint, such as B502(semigloss) or B503(matte), might be better.

  11. Hey Syd,
What brand of top coat do you use before panel washing?

    • Hi Clay,

I use the Gunze Mr. Hobby Mr. Super Clear Gloss Topcoat. It’s lacquer and has never caused me any problems.
