  2. Ryan, that Falcon is looking awesome!

Syd, I think what the other poster was asking was for you to show a couple of your CUSTOM Master Grades, like your Zaku or your Musha Mk II. and you can talk about how you decided to make the mods that you did. Then maybe even show off some of your modding skills. I liked the episode where you showed how to extend the legs with pla-plate. I would love to see more of that.

  5. HI Syed and Ryan….. nice show again…. enjoy it very very much. Actually I got a request, I was curious of both you and ryan had built many many kits, but where actually put them all? Can you show when you put all of them, I mean all those kits that you have built. Thanks.

  6. Hi Syd and Ryan,

Can you show us what’s inside the MG blitz gundam. The box looks half the size of other seed MG kits. I also have another question. I really like the hobby link japan shirts that you guys have. Will you be giving them away for orders purchased over a certain amount or will be selling them for what price. I would like to proudly wear that shirt and show my love for HLJ. Keep up the good work guys. thanks.

  7. Hey Syd and Ryan.

Great episode, the Falcon is looking good Ryan keep it comming.

Syd, I would also like to see some of your custom Gun-pla, maybe instead of showing all of your custom kits, you could just show your top 5 favorite kits that you customized and give a little explanation of what you did.

Again great episode, and on a side note if you guys find out about the copyright stuff for the shirts, maybe you can have a “Design a Gun-pla TV T-shirt” contest with the winner having their design printed and sold on HLJ.com.

  9. Hello Syd and Ryan!

I have a question about painting. I’m working on MG RX 78-2 and I’ve been wondering whether I should paint the inner frame with prime and color coating? I’m just afrait that it will affect the articulation, and also it hardly reveals once it’s covered. How do you usually go about painting inner frames? Other than that, I enjoyed watching you both! Thanks!

    • There is a method that will help you when it comes to painting exposed frame sections. Built the entire kit, armor and all, and prime it all in one go. The exposed frame areas will now be covered in primer. Take off the armor and then you’ll see where you need to paint on the frame. Generally the exposed frame areas will be the joints (knees and elbows, etc) so what I do is paint the frame assembly joint when it is straight, then once the paint is dry, I bend the joint which will expose more frame area that needs paint.

  11. Hi guys,
I’s been quite a while since thew last Boss Build. Since Hasegawa’s 1/72 Shinden 2 model kit is recently released, do you reckon Scott or Brian would fancy trying it out? Or perhaps it is something Gunpla TV members might be interested in as well?

  12. Hello Syd, Ryan,

I suggest you check out Tamiya Thread Lock as a method for stiffening excessively loose joints on kits. I haven’t tried it with polycaps, as something tells me it won’t dp good for polycaps, however whenever there’s a simple plastic on plastic joint this thing works great. E.g. I used it on arm joints of Full Armor Unicorn. I can lift an arm with all the stuff attached to it and it will keep position just like that. The downside is that it’s hard to keep in place and it’s not transparent, so you should apply it really carefully to avoid mess.

Another great item for gunpla I encountered 15 years ago, when I got into Tamiya’s Mini 4WD cars. Among the accessories for Mini 4WD Tamiya’ offers a small case for parts (http://www.hlj.com/product/TAM15163). These are extremely cheap (160Y) and well suited for keeping lots of small extra parts that come with gunpla kits like extra sets of hands or beam sabers.

  13. Dear Syd and Ryan. This is not a Gunpla question. But I have been trying to read through the Gundam Front Tokyo website about ticketing but just could not understand it. I just could not figure out why they have a Lottery reservation and a Standard sales. For people visiting Tokyo from oversea, do we purchase our tickets through Standard sales please? They have a link to the Ticketpia site but it is all Japanese.
    Thanks in advance.

    • oh, the joys of Japanese planning. To be honest, I’m still confused about how they’ve decided to sell tickets to this thing. The thing is you need to reserve tickets two months in advance but they then state that if there’s unsold tickets you can get in same day. If you are only interested in the GFT because you want to purchase some plamo, fortunately, you don’t need to enter into the exhibition to do that. Those are sold outside of the venue.
