Gunpla TV – Episode 100 – Ugly Mug Winners – Nu Gundam Ka Review & Funnel Fix – Aventador Gundam!

We want to thank everyone for their congratulations on us reaching the Episode 100 mark but you don’t get to 100 editions of something unless you have strong support and the viewers of Gunpla TV have always proven themselves very supportive of what we do and the plastic model hobby in general. Everyone waiting eagerly for episode 100 had to wait a little longer than normal due to end of the year craziness. On top of being run off our feet, Ryan became a father to a beautiful baby girl and Syd grew a fantastic beard, shaved it into a goatee, then into a soul patch… then shaved it all off to start again. But we’re back and ready to go and to thank everyone and celebrate our 100th episode we’re giving stuff away. Here are the winners of the Show us Your Ugly Mug competition! All winners were chosen from random from among over two hundred entries!

Nixel Thater won himself a 1/144 HG G-Exes Jack Edge.

Ethan Kilborn won the cool aquatic beast, the 1/144 HGUC Zaku Mariner.

Sarah Endler won the fantastic 1/144 RG ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam.

Julian Cusio gets the unique 1/144 L.E.D Mirage Colus Version.

Kyle Kish gets himself one of Bandai’s great Macross kits, the 1/72 VF-25S Messiah Valkyrie Ozma Custom.

Oscar Avila Batres goes ZOIDS with the 1/72 RZ-031 Dibison Toma Custom.

Marius Brisenio wins the big prize, the 1/60 Perfect Grade Gundam Astray Red Frame

Thanks to everyone that entered. It was great seeing everyone’s pictures and connecting on another level with our viewers. Watch for more competitions in the future.

Aside from announcing the contest winners we’ve got a lot of other stuff to present on episode 100, such as:

– Bandai’s latest Master Grade beauty the 1/100 MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee Titanium Finish .

– Syd’s finished work on the RX-78-2 themed 1/24 Lamborghini Aventador.

– A rather simple fix for the issue many builders have experienced with the Fin Funnels on the new 1/100 MG Nu Gundam Ver.KA.

Here’s to another 100 episodes!

  1. Personally, I’m pretty excited for the MG AGE-FX. As for the rest of this year, it’ll be good to see what Bandai gives to us. 2011 was the year of the MG Wing. 2012 was the year of the MG SEED. Since there is no running series and Unicorn is wrapping up this year there’s no real sign what we’ll see yet. Personally I would love to see more MGs from 00 but I think next year or 2015 would be more likely for those. We’ll likely see a RG Wing or WingZero as well. Should be exciting to see what we get.

  2. Hi fellow Gunplars!
I was damn hyped about the new Nu but cooled down a bit considering the funnel thing. It’s still on my list but it doesn’t get the priority it used to have. It should have been my next kit but meh, i guess it’s going to go lower on my priority scale now. Not by much though. As for the Lambo, at first I had my doubts but it turned out pretty nice in the end. Dry transfers really gave it depth. In the end I’d like to thank you for 100 episodes. I got some “head-ups”, some fresh ideas and just some fun while doing some time-wasting in my free time.
For the end, I’d like to congratulate to both of you on your babies, Ryan especially! Syd made a bunch of ’em already. And I’m pretty sure there will be a bunch more to come.
    Well that’s it for now.
Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas from Serbia

  3. Hey Syd and Rayn

Congratulations on your 100 episode and new family addition :). Have been following the show form day one and started building gunpla at the same time. I have question. At the moment I’m building the PG strike freedom and I’m having trouble attaching the dragons to the wings. I can get a dragoon onto the wing, but when I let go. The dragoon will pop out or even drop off. This very frustrating because a can’t pose the strike propaly this way. Could please give some answers or tips on how to fix this problem? Thank you for this great shows and keep up good work.

  4. Hey Syd and Ryan! Awesome work on the episodes and congrats to your baby Ryan. Just a quick question: I couldn’t really see clearly in the episode but is the Titanium banshee undergated? Thank you very much I will be very happy to hear the response.
