Gunpla TV – Bandai’s New Entry Grade

Bandai starts off a (mostly) new series called Entry Grade with two Dragon Ball kits and a Kamen Rider kit! Intended to be built by younger hobbyists, these kits feature really simple instructions as well as parts that can be removed from runners without tools. Although they may be intended for younger builders, older fans of these series that have never built a model before may also want to give these a try!

In this episode:
Entry Grade Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Son Goku
Entry Grade Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta
Entry Grade Kamen Rider Zero-One Rising Hopper

Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Great to see the new entry grade, makes it a lot easier for younger ones to get into model kit building a lot sooner! Wonder if we’ll ever see one for 1 year olds? 🙂

  2. it feels cheap, lazy, and odd all at once

  3. These look pretty good for statues and are way cheaper. A good entry point for anyone wanting to collect anime statues and paint them in the future.

  5. I wonder if this age rating is valid internationally. I do not think that it is allowed in Germany.

  9. This feels like a really oddly specific market. How many kids have watched enough Dragonball to get all the way to Super yet are still young enough to need an entry grade kit…? Maybe I don’t get the Japanese Market so well. Maybe very very young kids do just watch Dragonball Super completely out of the wider context…
