  2. Hi Syd & Ryan,
I’m a new convert to Gunpla and have managed to watch almost 80% of your back catalog since I discovered your channel on Youtube (3 days ago). Your love for all things modelling and Gundam shines through and is great to watch (big props to Ryan who verges on the politically incorrect most of the time, I’m a big advocate for politically incorrect behaviour.)
Recently I have suffered a surgery inducing injuring (severely ruptured disc in my spine) that has forced me to forgo my active lifestyle and pursue more gentle activities, at least for the near future, while I heal.
I now have an MG Astray Red Frame, MG X10A Freedom, HG Hazel Custom and a Zoid Geno Breaker Raven (broke my heart when you dangled that build than switched to the Iron Kong Ryan) coming my way. I’m easing myself into it 😉
Big thanks to you guys, you have turned an interest into an addiction before I have constructed my first kit and I look forward to sharing my results. But this is all merely build up for that PG Astray Red Frame. I’ll practice on these kits (and maybe a few more) and than I will purchase that beauty. To me its a stunning piece of engineering and style. Please tell me there is no chance of it getting discontinued soon?!
Keep up the great work guys!!
PS. rrobbert184 is also to blame for this new interest

  3. Hi Syd & Ryan, Great show as always, Ryan well done on weathering the destroid
phalanx, the great thing about this hobby is there is no right or wrong here so it’s
up to you how much or how little you do to your kits as it’s all about your personal
taste. Also great to see you set an example and try new things because I have been
building kits for 30 years and I still learn new techniques all the time. props on attempting
that P.G Rx-78, might have started with the strike first as all that plastic can be a bit
overwhelming but push through the builders block when it happens! looking forward to
seeing the finished mech. cheers from Australia. Paul.n

  4. Thanks for another great episode. Ryan did a fantastic job on the Destroid Phalanx. It looks so realistic! You are a much better modeller than you think you are. So although the PG will be a challenge, I’m sure you can handle it and have a lot of fun building the kit.

Actually I have a hockey question for Syd. Is it tough to watch hockey in Japan? And for the second year in a row, my Canucks got kicked out of the playoff in the first round. What’s your take on this? Is it time to rebuild?

  5. Hey Syd and Ryan,

Love the show, I have been watching since episode 1. I have recently put together the MG Sword Impulse as per Syd’s number 1 rating he gave the kit. I must say it is probably one of my favorite kits I have done. I am also thinking of getting the Force Impulse, my question is how different is the Force Impulse compared to the Sword? Keep up the great work and I enjoy watching each episode.

  6. Hey Guys, since i have been introduced to gunpla 2 months ago I have managed to build the rg zakuII, mkII AEUG, Freedom, Justice, Zeta (very bad experience since it’s very unstable) and the MG gouf custom 2.0, on the way are the mg Sinanju, Force Impulse, Gundam Exia and Jesta. One problem I can’t quite figure out are nub marks, I have tried a number of different methods to get rid of them including using the tamiya (coarse, fine and finish) compounds but they are still there… I don’t like painting my kits the max I would do is top coat and dry brush the kits. Can you dedicate a portion of an episode showing all the methods out there for removing nubs…. Greetings from Dubai 🙂

PS: do you guys ship to the Middle East?

“turned an interest into an addiction”
    WHAT A LINE! 😀
Don’t practice! Dive right in! PG/MG/HG – all the same difficulty level. One difference though. More parts. And that’s about it! Of course, what happens to me is that I don’t get bored with larger builds, repetition, inner frame stuff, painting and such. To me, it’s just that much rewarding. And it won’t get discontinued, have no fear there my friend. 🙂 They still sell the first PG they made so you’re ok with that. To be honest, if I were you and if I could buy that Red today, I’d do so! If you’re painting it, than that’s another story. But I’d still get it anyway. 🙂

    Hope you get well soon!

As for Syd and Ryan, curses to you! You killed every bit of our free time and made our wallets emptier for every one of us! 😀 At the same time, I’d love to thank you because, after 30 years, I’ve found my hobby.

    Curses to limited funds!!
My partner already makes obnoxious noises at me after seeing the money I spent on the first 3 kits. The PG might tip her over the edge. In saying that, I am up for review and a small bonus might give me the leverage for a spending spree HaHa! Here’e hoping the PG Red frame will be back in stock soon HLJ, and hopefully I have enough willpower to resist the PG Strike Freedom at the same time 😀

  18. great show.
just one fing that Im still a llitle confused about: outside of scale whats the is their any mention worthy difference between the RG and MG?
I mean they both have frames, both come with full color scheme molds and both have decals, so is it just a part count diffrence?

  19. Hey Guys,

I recently discovered your show and found myself getting sucked into gunpla as a result. After seeing how much everyone raves about the PG Strike Gundam, I decided to take the plunge. I am consistently amazed at the attention to detail on this kit and every section I build make me grin at just how much is going on in this thing. However, I’m a bit disappointed that Bandai chose to to use clear stickers instead of waterslide decals, as the stickers really stand out in all the images that I’ve found of other builds that use them.

I picked up a set of waterslides from ebay, but the quality isn’t the best (colors are a little off, and some of the fine text isn’t as sharp as it should be) Are there any official waterslide decals for the PG strike kit? Or at least any after-market sets that you could recommend?

Thanks and keep up the great work!

  20. Hi there Syd or anyone else who can help me with my RG Destiny.

After I assembled the backpack for the RG Destiny, somehow the thruster keep falling off easily and the instruction did not explain how exactly the parts fit with each other.

Thanks and cheers Gunpla TV 🙂
