Hi, more bug reports!
I talk a lot, right? I tend to go on and on. Wall of text. tl;dr, etc.
Anyway, I found that when I post a reply to someone, it results in that “read more” prompt, but what happens when you click that prompt is sometimes wrong.
Basically, that prompt is connected to a piece of Javascript that loads the rest of the comment,…[Read more]
I’d also add that, when you first post something, the Javascript on the “read more” prompt doesn’t work, and you’ll go to the prompt’s href instead. But if you reload the page, the Javascript will work and the “read more” link will expand the comment without reloading the page.
Gonna add some more text below to trigger the “read more”…[Read more]
And you used Lorem Ipsum to do this, no less. š
You have class tetsu!

It is the site overall. Loading the groups, any images in a post, and even viewing someones profile all take longer than expected to load. Everything does seem to load faster when I’m not logged in though.
I hope this doesn’t sound rude, but Iām a bit worried that as the months and years go on, the concept of āgroupsā might become messy. The broad groups which group similar content (RG or Zoids) keep those topics neatly organised, but it seems groups can be created for almost anything, for example a news story. I feel like that sort of content shoul…[Read more]
@ryan. a good choice might be a top down directory structure. it groups for model building under ‘kits’ news under ‘news’ etc which would prevent the future mess and help with the lagging members have experienced on the groups and activity pages
Today I tried to browse hobbylink.tv via my android phone.
Success! Interface looks great.
Then I tried to comment and upload 2 photos.
1/2 Success! The comment was posted but the photos were lost in space.
Am I the only person who experiences this?
:p
1) It would be nice if the home of each user is built with the timeline of all post (expand for replies) from all subscribed group. I don’t wanna navigate manually inside every group that i joined to see the latest posts!
2) same for RSS feed: personalized feed which collects al feeds from joined groups.
it already is when you go to activity (http://www.hobbylink.tv/activity/) the dark grey box at the top are the “tabs” you can click either of the 4 items (all members, friends, my groups and mentions), clicking any of them will show the activity for that level of people.
the rss doesn’t appear to follow the same rules though
Hello HLJ,…
i really love the format but the only downside is the blog format. For example when i visit the site i only see the first 20 groups and the other groups in page 2 and 3 are rarely seen. I’ve seen another members recommending a forum
Dear HLJ staff, Ryan and Syd, what would you say if Iād ask you about a BUY & SELL group on our little blog? MAYBE it would be a good idea. Using Paypal our fellow modelers could sell their old kits, tools and paint within the community or buy the same from the rest. Iām not sure if that would be ok with HLJ business politics and if it would ben…[Read more]
