Hi,
Being sick at home gave me some time to work on the model, and actually finish it..
The IJN gray was dark, and to pop out the details, I lightly drybrushed it with oil…
Hi,
Additional work was done this last couple of days..
Started with spraying the model with one of Tamiya’s IJN arsenal dark gray.
Then glued the wood deck.
To glue the deck,…

Hi,
Most of the model is built.
The PE sheet is very weel done, with lots of details to add.
I think the instructions page for the PE is not that great, as it shows the…
Hi,
I finally managed to start the kit, it is a lovely kit with Pe included. The Pe is very delicate and fun to use, railing bends in the proper places, and I started with doing the railing around the hull and the cannons.
Hope to advance with the kit soon, as real life gets in the way :)…
Hi,
My next ship model will be the battleship Hiei. I’ll use PE, wood deck, and a scenic base with some additional small vessels for scale.
Thanks for watching,
Eyal.
My first attempt on doing a ship kit..Japanese Naval Heavy Cruiser Myoko 1/700 scale by Fujimi..pick this up at half price at hlj..so far loving the detail but the real challenge is removing nubs from very very small parts
Thats freakin nice..I’ve been always intimidated doing a ship model..I’ve a few in my backlogs but the fact I’m not used to do a model using cement…do you have any advice?
Thanks!
I think that using the cement is very simple, just brush some on the part you wish to glue and that’s all.
My preferred cements brand is Tamiya. I have their regular cement, and their super fluid cement which is very useful.
You can always try on a simple kit to get the feeling of it.
Hi,
So in the last couple of weeks I had time to work on the model. I invested roughly 50 hourse of hard work, which included adding the railing, additional details such as…
Next many hours were invested in cutting the white railing, and gluing it to the ship. There are still places I find that I forgot to put railing on :0…
I also find more…

Hi,
Building the kit was quite easy. Bandai’s engineering is state of the art, a lot of fun making it all. I glued the parts together, and the main challenge was not to build…
Hello,
My new project will be the 1/700 model ship of the Chikyu by Bandai.
Adeep sea drilling ship, will be a very challenging model to build because of all the required detailing and painting.
I can’t wait to build it :)..
Thanks for looking,
Eyal.
Hi,
When everything was done, I glued the ship to the base, and then all the various sub assemblies.
Next I weathered the ship using oil colors, and lastly dry brushed very…

My next project will the the French WWII battleship Richelieu.
the model is from Trumpeter, and I’ll add to it Flyhawk extensive PE set, and wooden deck.
Do you sell any of your models or are they for your personal collection? I’m not really into ships but your models are awesome and was just wondering what it would take to get my hands on one.
Hi,
Thank you very much, I did some comission work in the past, but mostly build as a hobby.
I’m not sure what will happen to a ship model if sent by mail, it is much more delicate than AFV models whiich I usually sent?
I don’t have too mush experience with painting wood deck but what I did is:
paint the deck in Vallejo iraqui sand, then paint very thin strips with a fine brush, the strips are brown, dark brown, light san ETC. Then mix very…[Read more]
