Brian
Howdy! “Flash” is that little bit of excess plastic you see around parts sometimes, which results from the molds not quite coming together perfectly when the molten plastic is injected into them. Some plastic can squirt out between the very slight opening there, causing “flash.” You see it a lot in older kits, and particularly in older molds that are still being used to produce kits today. The old molds can get “loose,” resulting in more flash. Flash is virtually unheard of in today’s high-quality molds.
