Astranagant from Super Robot Wars is all put together. Let’s take a closer look at this dark angel!

A little bit different from most kits, you do need some glue for some places like the head.

Front, side and back shots. Check out that wingspan.

There was a very small prepainted face included, though there aren’t many details around its head and chest. The elbows can bend a little more than 90°, and the knees can bend about 130° thanks to the double joints.

The hands help it look intimidating, or even just indifferent!

With a stand, aerial poses come into play and help show off the sword.

As for the height, it’s similar to MG Gundam 2.0, though just a big shorter. Modern packpacks sure have grown though!

Some final thoughts: This took longer than expected to put together, mostly because of the cement being required. But other than that, everything went quite smoothly. The sculpture brings back fond memories of playing Super Robot Wars Alpha for hours. Speaking of the mobility, you can get most of the fighting poses you’d want, although it might not be a good idea to play with it too much due to a slight fragility. Since it comes in the right color, you don’t really need to paint it, but perhaps a gloss coating might add some visual oomph. If you’re a fan of Kotobukiya’s Super Robot Wars line, and have other members from the SRX team, this will be one that you can’t miss! Thanks for checking this out.

  2. Would you consider to have your black model on a white, or grey background? It’s very hard to see the detail.
