Seeing what gimmicks it has will be exciting. I’ve been wanting to do a PG for a while, but never got around to getting one. This will be it for sure. Going all out. 😛
@Shack, if the you ever have a chance, I can strongly recommend the PG Astray Red Frame. It was my first Gundam, and I loved everything about it.
As for the PG Unicorn, I loved the design, but couldn’t get into terms with the weak articulation. Sure this will be resolved with the PG version. I know what I want for X-mas! Shame I have to buy myself this awesome gift. 😉
I’d have to watch SEED first. I’ve planned to do so for a year now but still havent gotten to it.
I dont really care for articulation that much, I mostly care about the looks and detail. My complaints with the MG Unicorns is mostly the fragility, especially the waist getting unhooked.
The Astray Red Frame doesn’t really appear in SEED itself, rather the manga Gundam SEED vs Astray. That said I’d still watch SEED, people always bully it but it’s a decent watch.
You are right, the Red Frame that does appear is the production type, they call it something else… I enjoyed Seed very much, it was the first DVD box I ever bought. And that was only because I vaguely remembered I’ve seen this cool anime about giant robots some 15 years prior (It was wing)
But I grew very fond of Seed. It is Seed Destiny which has some strange plot twists and started the Jesus Yamato hype. But regardless of that, if you watch it and don’t think about things too much, even this was an enjoyable series. Seed is in my humble opinion a good remake of Mobile Suit Gundam. If you have the chance, I would definitely watch it
Oh and if you have the chance watch the remastered version. It’s the same series just better quality animation (the original was made when Sunrise first tried out computer animation and it shows).
Well the first pictures are out. Without decals it doesnt look all that great – but thats the flow of the design. The date is also set. Get ready your wallets for 13th december
There seems to be a good amount of panel lines and tick marks, I’m sure it will look good when you detail it.
I’m interested to see how they will handle making the eyes and camera light up in green but the chin and rest of the face in red.
