What are you building? 8 years, 8 months ago Legs are done. The only thing I really need to do is topcoat and maybe a couple more water slides on the skirt.

That is some impressive work, truly amazing. Im curious as to what you are using for the little metal bits? your placement looks great and its not an overwhelming effect. Looking forward to seeing more of your progress on this kit.
The smallest metal bits are 1mm ball bearings. The bigger ones on the knees are 1.3mm bearings and the biggest parts on the sides of the shins are 2mm (I think) detail screw heads. I picked them up at either Volks or Yodabashi Camera in Tokyo.
ball bearings? how do you get them seated into the plastic so that they’re flush with the surface of the panel like that?
Track down a precision hand drill. HLJ sells one but they call it a HG One-Touch Pin Vice . Here is the link to its page on their website:

You can get lots of different drill bits that you can swap out. To get the bearings flush I have no sure fire trick. I just drill a little bit at a time until there is a slight resistance as I pull it out of the hole. After awhile you get the feel of it.
That is totally hardcore man! =)
