    Gday Gunpla TV.

I have a MG X10A Freedom (my 1st gunpla build ever) and it ran into a problem.
When I got it, after washing the sprues, the first thing I did was to ‘protect it’ with Tamiya Semi-Gloss (TS-79).

That’s where, I believe, the problems began.

I was using the gundam panel liner pens to do panel lines, however, the pens died really quickly. I eventually realised that this was (most likely) to the semi-gloss coat gumming up the pen-tip. To fix this I did my panel lining with a 0.2mm mechanical pencil, which actually turned out great!!
    HOWEVER,
When I finished the model and tested putting a topcoat of Tamiya Semi-Gloss (TS-79) on, it seemed to ‘dissolve’ the pencil panel lining and cause the acrylic gundam-marker paint to run. So I left it the way it was without decaling… and it bugs me. I want to put water decals on it and protect it with the Taniya Semi-Gloss (TS-79)

So, what have I done wrong here? Have I:
    – Mixed lacquer semi-gloss with acrylic/pencil detailing and it just WONT work?
    – Is this actually OK and im just spraying too close or too thick?
    – If I do add water decals, will the TS-79 semi-gloss destroy them?

    Advice much appreciated!
PS. Advice for Newbies: Don’t pre-spray your model to ‘protect’ it before construction and detailing like I did. Do it after!
