i have a strange and slightly personal question to ask you guys. have any of you ever had to (or know someone who had to) do the heat treatment for bedbugs and if so how did you(they) handle your(their) model kits, did you remove them or were they safe? at the end of 2012 my father inadvertently brought some friends home..and they started an infestation and then i brought them into my room and then my mother’s room (don’t ask about the mom/dad separate room thing, long story for another time.) fought them for about 9 months, had 5 months of peace and now they’re in the kitchen and i’m ready to go nuclear with a complete residential heat treatment since i can’t afford a fumigation right now. considering they have to reach a constant temp of 120º throughout the house over a period of time in order to roast the little buggers along with their eggs. i’m wondering if i’m going to have to remove them from the glass case and take them out of the house. dave (the technician i spoke with said they’ve done a house where a guy’s entire basement was action figures on display. so i’m curious if gunpla could withstand this heat? my vote is for no but, i’ve been wrong in the past so i thought i’d consult you guys on the off chance one of you have had to do something similar.

p.s. heres a KA pic so all this reading was worth it haha.

    • correction, its 122º F not 120º

    • Strangely enough, my wife mentioned this the other day if one of our kids ever brought those wretched things into the house. My 1st thought, was of the Gunpla. I’d say take them out. Not sure if paint, glue, cement, or even the stickers can handle that kind of temperature.

      • thats what i was thinking as well. i guess if i do the heat treatment i’ll have to get a big box with some bubble wrap and stuff them all in a box neatly. this whole ordeal is part of the reason i haven’t snapped sazabi together yet.
