Gunpla TV 9 years, 1 month ago Last weeks video and this weeks video were really great. Though I wonder when the MG Zaku Amazing is going to come out, cause after all, it is one of the build strike’s many rivals.

I reckon they will release one if they decide to make a 3.0 Zaku.
If you look at the manual for the mg build strike it shows how to connect the build booster to the mg wing gundam (tv) and the not yet released gundam X so we’ll obviously be getting the build fighter equivalent of those but it doesn’t mention the zaku so we may not see one for a while.
Why would it have to be a 3.0 Zaku? The Zaku IIs 2.0 is perfect, it just needs new mold parts. Such as MG Gundam Mk-II 2.0, new parts just to be Build Gundam Mk-II.
I just think that if they were going to make a Zaku Amazing they would try to use a newer mould, similar to how they used the GATX-frame for the Build Strike rather than reusing the original Strike mould.
The 2.0 Zaku II is a great kit but I think that if they do plan to make a 3.0 Zaku II we’ll be seeing the amazing in 3.0 form rather than 2.0, but if they give up on a 3.0 we’ll definitely be seeing a 2.0 form Zaku amazing.
Like the 2.0 kit, MG Gundam 3.0 is incorporating the RG new colour seperation parts, latest MG LED light gimmick etc. The new developed toolings since the 2.0 release.
Also, giving a 3.0 treatment to a the MG Amazing Zaku would take away the (almost anime) styling consistency of the MG Build Strike and MG Build Gundam Mk-II.
Logically thinking, even if 3.0 Zaku II came out, I still think Bandai would opt to use the 2.0. It’d be pointless to give a 3.0 frame a armour that has no colour seperation parts which is what they were intend for.
If by any chance that Bandai does’nt want to use a 2.0 or 3.0, they’d make a whole new kit which would be nice. =)
3.0 Zaku II, bound to happen oneday
While looking at me RG Char’s Zaku II and HGUC Zaku II production type and I can see what you mean about realistic vs anime.
I hope that if they make a 3.0 Zaku they find the balance between anime accurate and realistic like what they did on the PG Zaku II.
This conversation just makes me want a 3.0 Zaku II even more as I’m quite a fan of ‘real robot’ esc designs like what they did in Zeta, Unicorn and 08th MS Team.
No matter what mould they use for the Zaku Amazing I’m sure it would be well… amazing.
Indeed, I hope Bandai would expand the 3.0 line. Unless the RG line is already sufficient for them for the time being.
I hope they do make a MG Zaku II Amazing. In the anime, that’s definitely Build Strike’s first antogonist suit. It would go so well with the recent released kit. Not to mention its add-on pack would probably be compatible with older released kits much like the MG Build Strike’s pack.
