Here’s my problem ppl I’ve gloss coated for water decals, applyed decals and weatherd with oil wash, now I am puting gloss and flat top coats depending on piece and my decals are turning white. What can I do?
maybe the oil wash is causing the silvering (thats what i have heard it called) once it reacts to another layer of top coat? at best its a guess. got no idea how to solve it sorry.
maybe gloss coat then decals then another gloss coat before oil wash.
Ok thanks hope I can correct
I thought it may of been better to seal the decal with a top coat THEN add weathering over the top, never done it before but I thought it may of been safer
Your silvering cuz yeah oil n next coat interaction. You need to coat, decals, coat, weather, then final coat.
Hope that helps josh
