im not sure where to post this guys…but im having trouble deciding which mg rx-78-2 kit to get…between the recent 3.0 and the o.y.w kit do you think the 3.0 is worth the 1000 yen ish difference?

  hey bro, i think you should get the 3.0, Ive just finished mine a couple of days ago and it looks awesome, it’s not much different from the 2.0 with some parts just being white and all. Or if you cant really decide watch syd and ryan’s episode of the RX78-2. Hope this helps bro

    thanks for the reply, the reason I like the oyw version is mainly the yellow vents on the chest how they’re popped out…I don’t think Syd compared the 3.0 to the oyw version…

  Well, I got the 3.0 but not the OYW, so in a sense, yes, I think it’s worth the price. 🙂 But to me that’s mostly a question of looks. v3.0 is like a nice mix of previous MG Gundam designs (I particularly like the bits taken from the MG Gundam v1 – like the lower legs and feet). The OYW is mainly based on the design of the PG Gundam (which itself is sort of ver. Ka-styled) – to me, it’s a bit too chunky. But it’s a very popular design, and the kit is on par with the early v2.0 kits IMO.
  If you like the look of the OYW better, then by my reasoning that’s the better choice.
