Started with washing the runners and hanging them to dry, then onto making my sanding sticks. 🙂 Finished test building the body unit and that’s all for today. 🙂
I have a question though: Would I get bumped up to Intermediate if I scribe additional panel lines on my kit? Thank you for the response! 🙂
It depends how much you do. Be aware that the Beginners Category does have a pretty low standard, so the more you do, the more risk you have of being bumped up. I personally think you should be fine, though.
I agree, it depends on how much you do. This level is the out of the box group. So if you do a few i would say you are good, but if you do a bunch then you may get moved up.
Thanks for the reply guys, I’m pretty much leaning on the out of the box build plus a few experimentations such as the panel wash and few hand paints as this is my 2nd MG. Just can’t help but think when I see my scriber, haha. 😛
I disagree, it depends on how well you scribe them. If they come out all squiggly then you’ll probably still be in beginners. Still, I think you should do your best!
Thanks for the insight, maybe I’ll practice scribing on other kits before I do it on this one. Do your best as well. 🙂
Hmmmm … Well this complicated story of change category depending on the change in Kit Will it be allowed to make a Top Coat in kit without being moved from category?
I read somewhere that we are allowed to topcoat our kits in the Beginner category 😉
Your sanding sticks.. now why I had never had that idea. Thanks for showing it here! Now I can remove nub marks more effectively. 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂 I learned it from a fellow Gunplar by the name @TR13 who is on the Advanced Category; he’s got a lot of awesome builds.
Hi, I wonder if I will go to the advance category someday. LOL. I checked that group and I feel so intimidated.
Yes we can, someday. 😉 Just takes a lot of practice. 😀
Yeah, and also more money to get more kits in case we fail. LOL. 😀
Hahaha, yes. 😀 But I think the failure part only comes when the kit can’t take anymore and crumbles down. 😛
