Beginner Modeler – Modeling Competition 2013. 9 years, 5 months ago Alright, hoping this is the right place to post this as my entry. First thing I have to say is I feel a little bad only building a high grade for a contest, but do not worry I have a plan. This is going to be my first attempt at using 3rd party decals and also my first attempt at doing anything to a kit to make it look any different than the manual intends. Wish me luck!

Nothing wrong with High Grades, model is what you make it.
Oh don’t get me wrong I love all of my high grades, wouldn’t have bought them if I didn’t (alright minus a few impulse buys). Just a little intimidating when the first couple of entries I see are RG’s and MG’s. But, just more reason to try harder.
Make a High Grade look like a real grade :D. Have fun while doing it and it’s not even about the contest.

At some point I’m going to be ordering some more from there, but for now I have these FOX Models decals I bought a while ago from HLJ. I’m Canadian military and the decals are similar to our uniform, so I’m going to do an homage to my Squadron.
That sounds like it will turn out nice. Also there are several HG kits already in the comp so don’t worry. I picked the MG kit because it was one that i thought would look good for the contest, not because it was a MG kit. If i had known about it a few weeks before I would have used the HG red frame that i build. But it was already done when i found this. Anyway good luck.
