Upon studying for a while on the Zeta Gundam plates, I’ve decided to do a bit of colour changes to the original.

The colours which I’m using are acrylic spray paint cans as I haven’t got the budget to buy an air brush compressor. Here’s a look at the 3 main colours which I’ve spray painted with some of which are hand painted.

I’ve introduced gold to the waist unit and other smaller parts to accentuate the overall lighter blue colour scheme replacement over the original darker sea blue which we are familiar with Zeta Gundam. Not that the original colour is not nice but I’ve noticed most completed Zeta kits has a darker blue feel to it upon assembling.

Since Zeta Gundam has a majority white colour to the lower half of the body, I’ve also changed the skirting and the legs from white to the lighter blue much to the ZII Gundam resemblance.

    • BTW, I’ve also replaced the black parts especially the wings to a darker grey tone. This is due to the massive wing section tend to make the rear view a bit too heavy. Zeta always needs a softer touch yah!

    • Very nice! looking really good so far, but just warning you because you have done your own colour scheme to the Kit, you could b bumped up into intermediate as the rules say for that only panel lining, hand painting and that in intermedaite it is your own custom colour scheme! But anyways it looks really neat and tidy! keep it up

    • Hmmm,…I barely complete my 3rd Gundam….I’m at intermediate already. Let’s hope not as they’re sure some pretty heavyweights there…:-)
