I’ve gotta to say that Zeta Gundam has a very good colour combination. I think anyone who bought this kit need not have to go through the hassle to paint it because it’s almost perfect.

However, I’ve spent a few minutes to study the plates and find that some of the armour colours can be enhance further. The main black colour of the launching base looks to be reflecting the uneven convex surface of the plastic although it’s in reality smooth. I believe this could be due to the injection of the plastic into the mould which stretch the plastic and causing minor discoloration.

I’m a bit nitpicky about this although it does not bother people that much as it’s almost not visible except when lighting reflects over it. I’ve found out a cool way to paint the base which will cover up this minor issue and express Zeta Gundam even further
