Is it worth waiting for the water decals?

• Matter of personal preference, I guess.
Personally, I loathe stickers and refuse to use them in my builds. So for me the answer would probably be “yes”… Depending on the quality of the decals. Bandai has put out some really lousy decals in the past. But good decals, for me, are extremely preferable over stickers. I think the results are better – with a little work I can achieve the “painted-on” look, make the decal boundaries disappear – and to me that is absolutely worth it.
If you’re OK with stickers, don’t care about whether the film is visible, etc. then maybe, for you, the answer is “no”.
Usually with MGs, some of the markings are also available as dry transfers. These are not hard to use but they’re easy to screw up… And almost impossible to recover if you do screw up. The great thing about ’em, though, is that it’s easy to get a really good result from them – like, if you can use dry transfers without screwing ’em up, you’ll get better results than most people can manage with decals. (Getting good results with decals usually means at least a couple gloss clear-coats, setting solution, etc. – dry transfers you can pretty much just rub ’em on and maybe spray dull-coat on top if you feel like it….) But generally MGs don’t include dry-transfers for all the markings, and I don’t know if the MG v3 includes dry transfers at all, actually…

• I think so. I prefer them They give a much better look than stickers. They require top coating to seal them on though in case you ‘re not sure.
