What are you building? 9 years, 8 months ago Ok, I actually wanted to start the 7-11 RX-78-2 after the VF-25F but it seems like Barnaby Brooks Jr. is a popular choice here on Hobbylink.tv… 😛 Bought it for my wife (yes the same one who said she wanted to build the MG Char’s Zaku II Clear Part two yrs ago and who inspired my Facepalm entry)… but she saw the posts here and graciously said I should build it if not it might still be in the box yrs later! 🙂 So thanks darling! Here are pics of all the runners and decals. I think he’s gonna look awesome! Thanks for looking!

I didn’t even know that there were a MG kit of it. Always thought that it was a normal figure.
@cthulhu they have the regular figurerise6 and the MG versions.
I lookes it up at HLJ and they have Wild Tiger too! He was my favorite when i watched the anime.
Ur wife is so nice. Was she into models when u meet? Yea can’t wait for wip!
LOL, she smiled when i read this out loud. 😛 She wasn’t really into models then, but she did get me into Gunpla cos she asked why I don’t build Gundams. I was like hmmm, let’s try one… and hooked ever since.
Your wife is same to mine. She is very supportive rather I say SUPER supportive 🙂 two thumbs up for us 😀

Can’t wait to see some WIP. Even if I never watch the show, once I get some MG experience under my belt, always wanted to get this and the Wild Tiger too.
Btw, that 7-11 RX-78 looks kinda cool, you get the Strike Freedom one too? =P

That is a great kit @philliptan I enjoyed building it. A week after I finished building the kit, I bought Wild Tiger. It’s even more enjoyable to build. It’s good to have them standing side by side on my shelf. 🙂 I’m wishing that Bandai would also make the MG Double Chaser.
BTW, your wife seems to be so supportive. That is nice. 🙂

@bloodnut38, yea, 20 runners in total!! But somehow the build wasn’t difficult… I did it over 2 days… Completed pics coming up…
I also did this kit some time ago. I didn’t paint it to keep the original colors, just did panel lining and put a semi gloss top coat on it.
I don’t want to spoil Philip’s post by posting a photo of it but if you ask I’ll upload one.
I painted some parts metallic gold and red (as usual lol)…
Have fun! Can’t wait to see it finished! I guess it’s only a matter of time until I get myself one as well!
