Finally, I am done! Blazed through the last few days and I can say I am pleased with the result. Below are the photos of the completed vignette showing a Stug III taking cover at an embankment and its crew having a bit of downtime fun.

Not really skilled with a camera but I try to keep the images as sharp as possible.

The vignette base was made from a photo frame, styrofoam, plaster, and miniature landscape foliage material. I scratchbuilt the tarps from tissue and glue while the rest of the stowage are extra parts from past kits.

    Thanks and cheers

    • Outstanding. I’d weather the AFV a bit more since it came from production line to front line?

    • looking good 🙂

    • Thanks for the replies guys.
Otaku – I didn’t want to go overboard with the weathering as I wanted to make a relatively fresh vehicle that has only fought in a skirmish or two. Tanks were brought to the front line by railway so much of the dirtying would only occur once they disembarked off the train.

I felt that a dusty theme suited it better due to the battle occurring during the summer months where the environment was drier. I could be wrong about this however. Maybe the camera doesn’t pick up the dust splotches too well.

I only included some minor chipping mostly along the areas which I think would see the most wear, eg. the side skirts and stowage rack. I tried to replicate the effect of AT rifles puncturing the side skirts which would also have caused the skirt to deform or fly off hence why I removed some of them.

Anyway thanks again. I have already submitted my entry though so fixing it up some more won’t be possible. Cheers.
