MechaColle Jet VTOL Update #8: Completion!

Finally done is Bandai’s Mecha Collection line of 10cm micromodels’ first entry into the Ultraman franchise’s many vehicles, the Science Special Search Party’s iconic and primary aircraft, the Jet VTOL!
While the kit is painted in the early-use colors (the Jet VTOL props no longer bore their white underbellies and yellow rudders in the later half of the series) my kit is displayed with the included option part: the tether harpoon launcher used late in the series to drag the morose kaiju Seabozu to a waiting rocket in the hopes that the displaced monster would be returned to his other-dimensional home.
I tried something different with this than with my previously-built MechaColle Space VTOL and assembled the entire main kit before painting. While this allowed me to take care of a few incidental seams at the back end of the kit, it also resulted is much more work when masking and painting the kit.
I also used the waterslides for the windows instead of paining them as I had done for the Space VTOL. while the side windows went perfectly the main windows were unfortunately plagued with bubbles along the frame. I would recommend cutting the two four-window decals into eight individual decals. This takes more work but also makes it much easier to deal with the bubble issue.
Additionally, anyone buying this mold, either as the Jet or Space VTOL is advised to weigh down either the base of the stand or the balance-point of the kit, as the wide and far-back wings offset the center of gravity and distribution of weight almost opposite to the shape of the stand.
