Intermediate Modeler – Modeling Competition 2017 6 years ago Just finished prepping the Grimgerde’s inner frame parts for priming. Now all’s that left is for my salary to be deposited so i can buy my paints and actually start painting!! Still have to get the fabric to make the cloak.
Speaking of cloaks, does anyone have any advice on painting fabric? i wanna make a desert camo cloak and i have an idea on how to make it, but any advice or help would be much appreciated =)Also attached a pic of the Grimgerde before being taken apart, just as a reference 😛 I might take the shoulders off since it would give off a sort of old & battered feel to the mech {I’m going for a desert wandering mech and pilot so it would make sense to have it battle damaged and weathered from the sand}
i might also scribe some new details onto the outer armor yet im not that confident in my scribing skills yet tbh, but i did make some small bullet damage to fill in later after i finish the main overall color scheme for the mech =)
Last but not least im thinking of using the Valkyrie rifle minus the long rifle butt at the end, still not sure if i should or not, but i should reach a final call on that by the time i finish painting out the kit =)
