Previously building this kit I always found the external part of the monocoque a pain as it requires the seam to be filled and sanded. Previous use of filled never seemed to have worked as before painting it would crack under sanding. Using cement this time I found the ordeal a little easier and created a good bond before applying auto-primer and paint.
I purchased skunk decals incase the tamiya decals which have been exposed since the 90s would crack and crumble when hitting the water for extraction. So far the process has been easy and the decals have been in fabulous condition considering the age. New Studio27 decals and photo etch parts (used already for brake disks and rear spoiler) are truly amazing and will complement the finished kit.
