The Shields from the MS-06V kit were particularly thin, and in order to use a balljoint I had to file the polycap down a bit, then apply milliput to hold it in place and increase the width of the shield. The claw joint is particularly thin and posed some problems when it snapped as I was trying to rotate it and I had to file the skirting so it lines up better with the FG Zaku upper torso. The Magella section was easier as I only needed to drill a hole out for the polycap that now connects to the forward gun, add Kotobukiya’s Round Mold 4 behind a section that had to be fixed in place and file down the square sections at the rear.
