    I am so glad HLJ is running this contest again, this will motivate me to complete a kit. For this year’s entry, I will attempt to complete the VF-31J Siegfried from Macross Delta. The kit represents the main characters mecha from the recent Macross Delta anime. The show follows the exploits of Walkure, who are tasks from preventing the spread of VAR syndrome throughout their part of the galaxy. Delta squad is a combination bodyguard/air show unit assigned to support the singers in Walkure.

    The kit itself is typical Bandai quality and is fully transformable between the three modes shown on the anime. The kit can be snapped together and stickers applied to replicate the mecha from the anime fairly closely. The kit also includes a set of water slide decals if you prefer to use those instead.

    For this build, I will be painting the details on the kit and only using the decals for the markings on the model. I also plan to use glue the key parts of the kit together and apply some magnets to help support the model in its various modes.

    Finally, as a stretch goal, I will add the Figure-rise Bust Freyja Wion. I will paint the details on the bust, close the gaps in the hair and apply a top coat to step up the kit a little bit.
