Hey guys I’m going to be getting the RG Exia fairly soon and I know it has some plastic strips for the legs and the shoulders, has anyone tried to put an acrylic gloss coat on the parts?

From pictures there doesn’t seem to be a lot of extra material to test with, and I don’t particularly want to try straight away with the strips themselves, thanks for any guidance you guys can give me.
