Hi,
My next model is the royal navy aircraft carrier HMS Hermes, in its 1980 fit just before the Falklands war.
I’ve bought the complex orange hobby model, and you can see the amount of PE parts used at this point (still many more to add).
It is very challenging, but lots of fun.
the kit is resin, with PE frets.
I bought some Trumpeter’s sea king helicopters, and white ensign sea harrier to complement the air wing.
I also bought a couple of pico armor’s royal navy roundels decal sheets.

One point I have to say about the orange hobby kits, last time I built their kit, I found out that the mold release oil their use is very tough to remove, causing the resin to be very difficult to glue.

this time I started by spraying silicon removing spray all over the parts, and then cleaned them with soap and water.
The result is much better.
