Hi there. My very first kit was the 1/72 vf-25f Tornado messiah. Then I didn’t know you had to apply a clear coat to protect the decals and pretty much messed most of them. Can anyone tell me where I can get those decals without having to buy the kit again, as am planning to paint it and make it look nice!!

    • Hi Hellvin, I almost never visit this section, so sorry for taking so long. I just checked to be sure, and Samuel Decal sells them. I suggest getting in contact with him via FaceBook.
      Good luck and happy building!

      • If you don’t find the original decals, some of the exclusive bandai decals set (sheryl or ranka models) can be found on ebay.

        • Thx Ratatarse, but these decals are a bit too girly for my taste, lol.

      • Hi teetee580. How r u doing? Thanks for the info.I bought some extra parts from Samuel and just ordered metal parts for my PG Unicorn.I’l get the decals in my next order.

    • yes, Samuel decals are way better than the bandai waterslides, I also had issues with the waterslides from the tornado messiah, some fell off before applying the top coat! Also had alot of issues with the fit of alot of pieces, transformation is nearly impossible whituot removing some pieces because of the fitting problems, I’m guessing my kit was an exeption because I have never heard of someone complaining about this issues, how about your’s?

    • never had issues in transforming the mecha
I had done very little paint on mines, and used stickers, as i transform them often… thicker, so no problem

      and I made a satin coat over, it’s quite a good result…

If you had adherence problems with your original decals, use setting solution like microset and even combine with microsol, I have no problem when using them, on clear surface wether on mat surface…

      • the tornado messiah only includes the bad quality waterslides, so he had no other choice, and the setting solution don’t help on bandai waterslides, believe me, I’ve been there, the waterslides provided by bandai are so low quality that they actually disintegrate if you use microset, even with weaker solutions like the mark fit from tamiya you’ll have problems with those. with the bandai kits like you said, it’s better to use the stickers or use only the small waterslides, and paint the rest.
