Hi guys. So I bought the RG Exia Trans-am Gloss Injection kit and before I build it, I wanted to know some great tips on building this kind of kit.

I am usually the kind of person who gets rid of nubs trough sanding but, since this is a glossed kit, I can’t sand it for I will remove the gloss if I do.

Do any of you have tips or experience building a gloss/extra finish kit?

    Please and thank you. (^人^)

    • honestly just use a xacto knife to remove the nubs just dont chisel too hard into it or ur gunna cut off the plastic

    • yeah there really isn’t too much you can do if you want to keep the factory gloss finish. just do you’re best to only cut away the nubs without damaging the rest of the surface. I wouldn’t use an xacto knife, though use a modeling knife and.or a sanding stick. xacto knives are just too big.

Anyways a bunch of the nubs won’t be visible with the armor on, and those that are won’t actually be all that noticeable as long as you get the nubs pretty close flat.

If they undergate then you’re problems just solve themselves cause those nubs won’t be seen at all, but this kit isn’t undergated so just do what you can, after you’re done come back to your kit again in like a week and see if you can spot the nub marks yourself. If not then you did a good enough job, and if you still can spot some easily then you’ll know which ones you need to work on some more.
