New Plamo Arrivals for June 3, 2022

This week’s new plamo arrivals feature a fun assortment of mighty mechs! The Magic Knights Rayearth MODEROIDs are here, and so are new kits from Patlabor, Gradius, Crusher Joe, and R-TYPE. Plus, Number 57 gets a shark-based mecha that’s sure to make heads turn! Check them all out below, and grab yours before they’re gone.

Magic Knights Rayearth

MODEROID Ceres, the Spirit of Water (Magic Knight Rayearth)

From the anime series “Magic Knight Rayearth” comes a MODEROID plastic model of Ceres, the Spirit of Water! The mecha’s appearance from the anime has been carefully preserved with detailed sculpting, and certain areas of the model have been recreated with translucent parts. Its dragon-like wings are articulated can be displayed deployed to create various poses from the series.

The model also comes with interchangeable hand parts, its sword and its shield. It is primarily made of PS&ABS, and features colored runners and pre-colored parts, making it easy to recreate the mecha from the series with a simple assembly.


MODEROID Rayearth, the Spirit of Fire (Magic Knight Rayearth)

From the anime series “Magic Knight Rayearth” comes a MODEROID plastic model of Rayearth, the Spirit of Fire! The mecha’s appearance from the anime has been carefully preserved with detailed sculpting, and certain areas of the model have been recreated with translucent parts. The flame effects on its back recreated with translucent parts are removable.

The model also comes with interchangeable hand parts, its sword and its shield. It is primarily made of PS&ABS, and features colored runners and pre-colored parts, making it easy to recreate the mecha from the series with a simple assembly.


MODEROID Windom, the Spirit of Air (Magic Knight Rayearth)

From the anime series “Magic Knight Rayearth” comes a MODEROID plastic model of Windom, the Spirit of Air! The mecha’s appearance from the anime has been carefully preserved with detailed sculpting, and certain areas of the model have been recreated with translucent parts. Its phoenix-like wings are articulated can be displayed deployed to create various poses from the series.

The model also comes with interchangeable hand parts and its sword. It is primarily made of PS&ABS, and features colored runners and pre-colored parts, making it easy to recreate the mecha from the series with a simple assembly.


Number 57

1/24 NUMBER 57 Man Hunter Deep Sea Ripper (Shark) Plastic Model Kit

Creative Field adds Deep Sea Ripper to their “Number 57 Man Hunter” team! Deep Sea Ripper is an aquatic hitman who attacks oil-drilling platforms and container ships to protect the ocean from the hands of humans. Two different heads are included — a mako shark and a hammerhead — in addition to the head on the figure; unpainted versions of all three heads are also included so you can customize them as you like! The first release of this item also includes a shock wave cannon, a harpoon backpack and a mine (only available with the first release; if yours does not include these items, it was not part of the first release). A base for display is also included.


Patlabor

1/60 MODEROID HAL-X10 (Mobile Police Patlabor)

“Mobile Police Patlabor” presents the 1/60 scale plastic model of the experimental heavy attack labor HAL-X10! Its legs boast a wide range of articulation, letting the user to display the model in both its signature multi-legged walking mode and its hover mode! The included stand can be used to display the model as though floating in mid-air. too. The rear end of the hover unit can also be separated from the rest of the model! The HAL-X10’s unique features, like its deployable hatches, its cockpit and even its rolling mode from the TV series, which can be recreated with the use of included wheel parts, have all been faithfully recreated and included in this definitive plastic model kit.


Gradius

1/144 Vic Viper Ver. Gradius V (2P Color)

“Gradius” made its debut in arcades in 1985; “Gradius V” was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2004. P.M. Office A now brings us a model kit of the Vic Viper T301 from that iconic game, now in the 2P Color! This sleek spacecraft is brought into model-kit form with the full cooperation of Konami Digital Entertainment, reproducing the ship as seen in the opening segment. The parts are molded in color, and you can get a result close to what’s seen in the game just by assembling it. The engine is precisely reproduced, and a display base is included too.


Crusher Joe

1/35 Crusher Joe Galleon (OVA Version)

Hasegawa brings us a model kit of the Galleon from the “Crusher Joe” OVA, together with a new set of plastic parts to build the robot Dongo! The Galleon does not need glue for assembly, and is loaded with gimmicks — the electromagnetic cannon, laser cannon, large missile launcher and dozer blade are all movable. The missile hatch, cupola hatch, and boarding hatch can be opened and closed; seated figures of Joe, Talos, Alfin and Ricky are included. (Glue is required for the figures.)


R-Type

1/100 R-9A [ARROW-HEAD] Ver. R-TYPE FINAL 2

The iconic side-scrolling shooting game “R-Type” debuted in 1987; the sixth game in the series, “R-Type Final 2,” was released in 2021. This model kit assembles into an accurately detailed replica of the R-9A [Arrow Head] from the game! The parts are molded in color, so you can get a result close to that seen in the game just by assembling it; it’s molded in great detail, too, down to the cockpit and the pilot. The mysterious life form Force is included too, and the display base features separate supports for the R-9A [Arrow Head] and Force.
