Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Really nice details for this small kit, and some pretty neat gimmicks like that buster gun and the visor! Great to be able to display him with eyes sans pupils, I actually prefer SD Gundams that way!

  2. You’re right, the previous transformation looked better. This one is cool too though.

  3. It’s too bad the series is on hiatus like many other anime. I think Bandai should’ve held off on releasing any more RE: Rise kits until the anime starts up again, since often these new models have spoilers in the instruction booklet and through the kit itself.
One thing they could’ve done is release this and its previous iteration as an SDCS.

  5. So this one is based on the Astraea as opposed to the Type F? Red condensers… did Parviz switch to a Tau Drive?

  8. Can’t get on with this “upgrade”.
Yeah, the old one was orange. But it was kinda cool and unique looking, it wasn’t an obnoxious orange like say the Beam Master.
This just feels kinda like a knock off almost. The blue “hair” the mismatched whites… It’s just not as coherent or interesting or bold as the original. In trying to emulate the more traditional Gundam primary colour aesthetic, it just ends up looking nasty…

Though, if the price drops considerably at some point, I could always use it as a basis for an Evil Variant Valkylander…

Now I just need to rattle the old brain to come up with a decent Norse Mythology pun name…
