HG Penelope

One of Todd’s most anticipated kits of the year is finally in: the massive HG Penelope from “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash!” We take a look at the massive suit combined as well as the ‘flight form’ and the mobile suit separated into the Odysseus Gundam and Fixed Flight Armor. If you are a fan of massive kits you won’t want to miss this one!

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  3. Penelope does look like Osamu Tezuka’s Phoenix manga or a chicken. 😛
    Gundam Odysseus looks sick.

Packaged stand is kind of cheap I don’t like it and also only for Penelope custom exclusive one huh? Shame that cannot use other action base.

  4. I love bulky mecha, so Penelope would look great in my collection! Wonder if they’ll ever do an MG version of this, would probably overshadow the FA Sentinel Gundam!

  5. Definitely not feeling this one. Too much of a busy and chunky design for my taste.

It makes sense in context, I’m sure.

  11. A Gundam that needs another robot for armor? Very super robot like.

  12. I feel like someone is already getting it into their mind to put an SD kit up on that phoenix armor thing. Maybe they’ll call it the Phoenix King or something. Some goofy looking Musha Gundam trying to look super serious atop its equally goofy looking steed.

  14. Thanks for the very thorough review Todd. Just where do you put all these giant suits?
