Figure-rise WarGreymon (Amplified) Unboxing

Figure-rise Standard WarGreymon (Amplified)

Digimon fans rejoice: WarGreymon is here! It’s an exciting time for new releases

This Mega level Digimon is one of two kicking off Digimon’s entry into the Figure-rise lineup from Bandai, which builds nearly action figure quality kits. We can look forward to great color separation (meaning you don’t have to paint unless you want to) and a resulting model with some good articulation for posing.

WarGreymon makes appearances in many seasons of the anime, and is often featured as one final evolutions of the protagonist’s Digimon partner.

Without further ado, let’s dig in to this massive box and see what’s in store!

The Box

The first thing you may notice is that this box is pretty tall, so you can expect a lot of runners! It also gives Bandai a lot of space to show off some of the poses and configurations you get in this kit.

On the other side of the box, we get a front and back view of the completed kit and an explanation of the “Amplified” version. It’s a big of a vague description, but you get the idea: it’s basically an enhanced version of the Digimon you see in the anime, that’s been engineered (sculpted, even) for great articulation (“playability”).

And a whole lot of stickers and polycaps. It’s pretty clear from the size of that runner that we can expect a whole lot of poseability out of this guy.

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  1. Typical Bandai, brand new kit, using polycaps from dunno how many years ago. But what works works. 😀 Looking forward to building this one. Sadly with the colors of this kit, doubt I can avoid using the stickers, detail painting white on yellow plastic bleeds so heavily. But maybe will replace the white with silver.
