RE/100 Zaku II Kai Unboxing

The latest RE/100 kit is here: the Zaku II Kai. It features almost entirely new (2019) molding and some pretty neat parts. Let’s dive right in and see what’s in store!

The Box

Here we get a good look at all the kit features, including a helmet option, weapon parts, and lots of accommodation for great articulation.

And here’s your standard front and back views of the finished model. The kit has been painted for these photos, so it’s not quite what you can expect from an out-of-box build, but it still offers a pretty good idea of what your kit will look like.

Also, the monoeye is moveable. That’s all I could personally ask for.

As always, we also get a bit of background about the mobile suit in both Japanese and English.

The Runners

All of the runners in this kit are from 2019 unless otherwise noted! Let’s take a look.

A: Olive green

B: Olive green x2

C1: Dark green

D1: Grey x2

D2: Grey (this runner does not have a year on it)

E1: Blue-grey

E2: Blue-grey

F1 & F2: Red (these runners do not have a year on them)

And the miscellany: A G runner made of soft plastic to make all the tubing nice and flexible, a clear runner (I didn’t catch the year on this one), and a set of detail stickers!
