Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  5. Frame Arms Girls look gorgeous! If only Bandai can make Gundam girls with this level of detail and joints. The Build Fighters girls kits are getting closer though.

    • The other great thing about the Frame Arms kits is that they’re all interactive, so you could put together all kinds of crazy machinations from any kits you want. The only thing that tends to bug me is the hard points on their arms, which usually aren’t stable enough to hold anything without flopping (like LBCS: Achillies Mikazuki’s armour plates on her biceps). Oh yeah, and the one thing Bandai has over the Frame Arms Girl kits – double hinged elbows!

  6. I like the different type of plastic Bandai uses for there kits, both matt and glossy.

  14. Hresvelger… Mouthful.
But great figure, it’s interesting that she’d have a customizable face, I think it’s a cool opportunity they give you to make whatever you wanted (I’m wondering now what people would add)

  15. These riders look great. Surprised to see the almost Accel form chest piece on Faiz… Though for me, the ones I’m most excited by are the upcoming W ones with the ability to swap halves. Those look awesome.

  18. Ah, really happy to see people who know their stuff for once! Todd has a bad habit of not doing research (or well, not really caring for the details – probably explains why he can’t be bothered with stickers X’D), so it’s really nice to see people who know the source material. Ah, if I wasn’t stuck here in the UK, I’d be begging for a job about now, show these guys a thing or two about doing the proper research! …if my Japanese was any good, hahah!

FYI: Faiz’ chest panels open up for his Axel form, and there should be a way to store those panels on his shoulders (based on photographs of the suit).

  19. Faiz’ chest opens up and it becomes shoulder pads when he goes to his Accel Form, in that form he can move very fast similar to Kabuto’s clock up, also his Eyes turns red and his Red stripes turn Silver.
Hopefully they could make Figure – rise Garo series in the future

The tl;dr of it: Feel free to call me “Kaj” or “Gandhi.”

  25. Can you guys show us the comparison between SHF Kamen Rider and figure-rise Kamen Rider?
You guys forgot that faiz and Kabuto can clock up. Grandma says.

  27. Wow, I didn’t expect that! Thanks for the prize!

And regarding to this review, even though I have never watched any Kamen Rider series, I love the designs and I collect them in Figuarts form, so maybe this is a good alternative to that.
And special thanks to Scott for appearing in this episode. Such a cool and energetic boss, anyone can see he loves what he does. And we love him!

  34. Love the show, and even more episodes like this one, when you guys mix it up a little, love gundams and bandai, but I also love other series and brands, if you eat the same thing everyday, eventually you’ll get bored, and, as awesome as they are, the same happens with gundams.
    Great Job!

  40. Todd, you haven’t given your view of Blue Fin’s policy on GBWC USA qualifying by public vote. I understand if its policy or corporate affiliations with Bandai that influence your ability to discuss this topic subjectively or give honest opinions but it would be in-keeping with the former legacy of Gunpla TV to acknowledge the debacle.
