Gunpla TV – Episode 317 – BMW Boxermotor & H-Class Hutten

Gunpla TV revs up this week with a look at two decidedly non-Gundam related kits! Todd has been busy preparing for the upcoming Shizuoka Hobby Show and shows off what he has built that will be on display there. First up from VeryFire is a ‘what-if’ German Battleship: the H-class (H-39) Hutten! He’s got another German item, too: a 1/2 scale BMW R90 S motorcycle engine with movable parts!

In this episode:
1/2 BMW R 90 S-Boxermotor
1/700 German Battleship H-class Hutten
1/144 HGAC Maganac
1/100 MG Ex-S Gundam/S Gundam

Level 75 Marketing Mage. Editor, admin, and occasional code monkey. Stand User in her free time. Though she does build kits when time allows, time doesn't allow often. Her favorite lines are Hasegawa's Mechatro WeGo line, Meng's World War Toons Pinky line, and weird miscellany like Platz's bonsai tree kits. In general, if it's a detailed miniature that's too small to be useful for anything other than taking up space, she'll probably love it.

  4. To answer Todd’s question according to Gundam Wikia: The name means “family” or “relative” from the Tagalog word, mag-anak (inspired by the Filipino and Arab workers in the middle east, specially, Saudi Arabia, most of them are engineers) so basically they are like family as a unit.

  8. The engine having a history section in the instruction booklet is nice. Kinda wish Bandai would do that. Line art, a few quotes from the designers of the kit, where the inspiration and names come from that sort of thing. Maybe it’s just me, but I’d find that fascinating.

Plus, it gives me a reason beyond potentially ordering replacements with the codes to horde the manuals…

  9. What is this nonsense? Where are my robots!?

Did you have to mention MAGA? I dunno about anyone else, but I’d like it if politics was left out.

I do hope we’re back to looking at Gundams and robot girls soon enough, real military and replica kits are not really my thing.

  36. im exited to see how the LBCS: Achilles Mikaduki Karina looks all put together. i was holding back on getting her since it’s a new line. in case you build it up can you check on how good in the chest ball joint, since many F.A.G have some issues with that.
