Figure Japan Asra Archer Ouki Megami Device Unboxing

Dave’s take-home project this week is the new Figure Japan Megami Device model kit, and he was kind enough to take unboxing photos for us to share with you! You can look forward to seeing his completed build a little later on Gunpla TV. First: here’s a look in the box.

Meet Ouki, the latest Asra Archer in the 1/1 scale Megami Device line. She features a new cherry blossom-themed color scheme, a radar antenna, and new chest parts. This particular kit is sold as a special Hobby Japan promotion, with an issue of the magazine that includes simple finishing techniques.

The Runners

Here are the H and A runners in magenta. Most of Ouki’s ‘clothing’ is molded in this shade, so that means mostly leg and arm parts, with just a few torso parts, too.

There are two identical I runners for (what I think are) leg parts.

Another two identical runners for D2, these in cherry blossom pink. These are primarily weapon and arm parts, I believe.

Identical S2 and L runners. S2 comes in magenta again, and L is in cherry blossom pink. 

Here’s an assortment of remaining runners, mostly featuring mechanical parts and small details. F in white, Z and R2 in magenta, C in beige, and K in cherry blossom.

Even more magenta (and pale pink)! There are two E runners and another I runner that looks very different from the previous I runners. The V runner is the pale pink one and includes chest parts and ribbon details.

We’re getting down to the last few runners. B, D, and W are beige, which means they’re mostly Ouki’s body parts. N is dark brown for her hair. P2 is another set of pale pink, including chest parts. And then we have just a few parts in dark red and lime green, as well as some slightly-pre-painted parts in individual bags for Ouki’s chest and belt.

Clear parts are here! Clear blue parts are included for Ouki’s blades and a buildable display base.

Optional parts are included in sort of a fun way — Ouki’s hand parts are all on runners of their own, and as is typical for Kotobuiya kits, prepainted face parts are individually bagged to keep them safe from scratches.

Finally, the assembly guide with the same lovely artwork as the box, and a whoooole lot of decals!
