It’s been a while but it’s time to look at some new Space Battleship Yamato kits from Bandai again! Two different kits are shown this week! For the first time in GunplaTV history we take a look at a Mecha Collection Yamato kit! The Mecha Collection U.N.C.F. Andromeda-Class Set comes with not one but FIVE ships! Also we have the Ginga from the upcoming 2202 Yamato movie!
In this episode:
– Mecha Collection U.N.C.F. Andromeda-Class Set
– 1/1000 Experimental Ship of Transcendental Dimension GINGA
– Bandai Collection Stages
– 1/144 HG RGM-79KC GM Intercept Custom
– World War Toons Kits

I’m hoping to win some store credit for the holiday season. Happy Holidays!

Todd doesn’t eat with nippers. He eats with the Gundam beam saber chop sticks. I know I would.

Those Yamato kits look awesome, I personally love the Apollo Norm, but they are way over my budget.
ii_r_ftw
a 5h long bonanza sounds like a great episode
BNuts
Get better soon, Lindsay.
And hey, you know what would make an awesome 300th episode? Boss Builds, and inviting Ryan and Syd back for some segments. Y’know, if you could get ’em.
Mauricokito
Ahhh those ships have always been tempting, i’d definitely love to have one someday. The details on the bridge of the Ginga look amazing.
Great episode guys.
Jetfire48
Man those space battleship Yamato kits are tempting, but I have been meaning to pick up a hg moon gundam, hg great mazinger, and aoshima kiryu for a while now
TheShadowGamer
I still find it weird when an episode of Gunpla TV doesn’t have any gunpla.
Michael Faux
Seeing the Yamato ships makes me want to play Super Robot Wars V again with all the Gundams in it.
Helluva
hello, welcome back Lindsay. i really wanna try those yamato mecha collection ships.. (probably the smaller ones..) they look awesome !! Want to paint them as much for display than for some wargaming !! They really do have some nice details.
Lindsay
Thanks! The Mecha Colle kits are only about 400 or 500 yen for individuals, so they’re great to experiment with (compared to big, expensive kits), and a great size for wargaming, too.
Zeroconvoy
I have really been interested in those tanks! They just look so cute and fun.
kai2kai
Great. Thank you ^_^

Nice to see you review some non gunpla kits, but looking forward to that GM intercept custom in the next episode 🙂
Tomseneck
Love those Yamato kits. Great show as always.
PsychoYellow
I wish there were more gundam “ship” models. Maybe a larger scale than those old EX kits
Nandarou
In the early 90s, I collected sets of models of gundam and patlabor. And all of them were already snap-fit with bushings of non-erased plastic. Another thing is that the parts were less than in modern sets. Therefore, two or three colors on the robot, the model was made of two halves of the same color. I had to paint. What always turned out to be crooked. In 2015, I purchased all the old kits from Patlabor from you. I want to win a coupon that would return me to HLJ. My old mail was stolen from me (asuma@mail.ru), at which account all purchases were made from the beginning of the 00s. So I had to switch to another account.

Those tanks are looking pretty cute, especially the KV-2
Ravenps3
only 2 for 300!!!
foxhound
That Bandai 2 LED unit is 1800 yen?! Thats around 3000 yen with the cost of the other LEDs. It does look great with them installed in the Ginga, but 3k yen cost makes a does good case for just learning to solder and wire cheap LEDs yourself.
EdgeyLu
I would’ve never imagined I’d see HG GMs as good as these!
EdgeyLu
GM/GMs don’t count since it’s basically the Build Burning mold
Stellarium Celestia
Welcome back Lindsay! Idea for episode 300 – stop-motion Gunpla dance party

I demand from Bandai a 1/350 ship scale of the space battleship yamato series!!
Quchulainn

I’m high on Tigger Blood!
Gaelio Zabi
Those remind me of Shuneo’s toy armada in one Doraemon manga chapter.
Ramrod
Is Bandai telling us a secret message with all these Yamato releases? Maybe, the next great Bandai Store opens with a real size Yamato in front or the store opens inside a real size Yamato. Yeah. Who knows?
Jeordidicus
PANZER time! Call me the desert fox! 🦊 😈
Pabrjano
hmm tanks?
ATrehy110
Great show as always
JCS727
Hope you feel much better soon Lindsey and Todd as many here have said why not a gathering of every host of GunplaTV and have a “best off” moments on the show 😉👍
Penafred
Great stuff, I love me some Yamato.
crossmirage
those ships look great
pt25
The lights are definitely cool but you are right that it’s a hassle to turn the 3 lights on.
Shinobi Rendar
nice!
PrinnySuitNero
Always nice vids and the kits looks awsome know ill be grabing them.
Brian ver. Kanada
Between Gunpla and building my own toy tengoku, I could use 2000Yen.
Cw Tham
Just comment and I might get something, right? *wink*
Momentai
Can’t wait for episode 300
Bergaf
never knew ship kits can look this cool
NZ Anglia
I definitely prefer the original Yamato over the Ginga and as for the multi led units it’s not very hard to wire the LED Sets in series then run two wires into the base with a hidden single switch.
As for episode 300 ideas? How far has your modelling skills come from when each of you first started building? Early build vs Newer build.
G-Raizer
great show guys!! keep up the great work
JumpNShootMan
Been curious about the World War Toons kits for a while, can’t wait to see it in the next episode.
Lee aldrich Prudente
Now im thinking about getting that ginga because of the led capabilities
Ron
That Tiger tank World War Toons kit is quite large in size compared to other WWT kits. The Sherman tank is one of the cuter designs as it rocks back and forth.
Stibi
I”ll take 2,000 sexy yen, please.
Andrés
I usually don’t care a lot about lights in kits or action figures, but I have to say they look pretty cool here. It’s a shame you have to buy some of them separately.
MechaArtist Col1815
Looking at my decals again recently I pondered the notion, why are the typographical elements not written in Japanese!
As I could not find an answer I have decided to print my own, translating the text where necessary.
dannlan9
Another awesome review of Space Battleship Yamato kits. Thanks.
Vargen
Those ships are almost as monolythic as warhammer ships.
They are begging for panel lining too
Vhiztified
Now what we need is the mega size version of those Yamato kits
Shizuka Na Ikaku
Hope i can win thous store creds there are a LOT of interesting releases coming in December
Jonathan
