Wonderfest is an biannual event which caters to “garage kit” aficionados, allowing them to sell and display their creations to the public. By far the most popular genre covered at WonderFest is anime, with other items including sci-fi, mecha, monster/creature creations, military, and more. Most of the works shown at WonderFest are only available in very limited quantities so the rush to be first in line when they open the gates is crazy! People in past years used to flood into WonderFest like a roiling sea of bodies, which was a big problem sometimes leaving many people with injuries. This year however they had many WonderFest staffers on hand to control the crowds and keep everyone safe. No crush rush this year!
