Galilnagant is all put together, and looking really sharp!  Let’s take a closer look…

A set of good plastic nippers is all you’ll need.

Front and back shots. I can’t hear you over the sounds of his wings.

The arms can bend 90° despite double joints being used as the armor gets in the way a bit.

Not a lot of gimmicks with this kit, but the Wolverine/X-23 claws look good and move up and down.

Pretty good mobility with the legs.

When it comes to the head and chest, the details look quite good. It has a bit of an Exia vibe there for me.

For add-ons, it has a few swappable hands and huge honking weapon. Let’s see what you can do with them; let’s see what you can get!

There is more, as you can steal part of the wings to make this tri-smasher.

But this is why we’re here, isn’t it?

Rrobbert184-Galilnagant-review (12)
Yes, it’s nearly as big as he is.

With slashing mode looking almost as cool.

In terms of height, it’s almost the same as Ex-Exbein.

And a little bigger than HG Turn-A, who’s also got big wings, which despite their looks are also decidedly weaponized.

Some final thoughts. Once again, Kotobukiya has done a good job with a new kit. Without too much work, you can get the latest robot from the game standing on your shelf, and looking quite good there. Although in this case, putting in the time to put on the waterslides would make him even sharper. But overall without the red highlights, I think it looks very cool already! While most Super Robot Wars kits tend to have a lot of weapons, Galilnagant may seem a bit different, and that includes the gimmicks. However, with one honker, he’s strong in the game, and on display as one right pose will do more than enough damage. Really, the only small complaint is in regards to mobility as the joints by themselves move quite nicely, it’s just the placement of the armor that holds them back. But with Kotobukiya seemingly getting better and better, I look forward to seeing what they do next. In the meantime, I think this would make an eye-catching addition to anyone’s collection. Thanks for checking this out!

“Wanna try Twin Bird Strike with me?”
“Sorry, I’ll stick with my Buster Cannon.”

  2. This kit screams Epyon and compels me to acquire it, even if I’m not a fan of that ax thing.
