Well I got this finished yesterday around 1:30 pm making it under 48 hours from opening the box to completion. I really like this build, I tried a few things for the first time and I loved the results. First I pre-shaded with Neutral Grey instead of black. This made my white much brighter and gradation much smoother to the shadow end. Second I highlighted the blacks. I laid down my black and then mixed a ratio of 6 parts black to 1 part white for the highlight and did my shading and I love how it looks. I need to tweak it a little but I am very close to where I want to be. My shading on the reds and blues just doesn’t show in the pics because it to subtle. It’s even hard to see in person but you can see it. I need to tweak my technique on those two colors some more before I get the results I want.
I did notice a few mistakes after taking pics bit they are fairly small and are easy fixes.
Also on this one I did not feel like breaking out all my studio lighting gear so I did what I call a “getto” set up just using my on-camera flash and a few dry erase boards tape together for bounce. I fired my flash remotely with my wireless trigger. This aloud me to move the light around without changing my exposure to much. I love the results and I might just keep doing my pics this way since I don’t have a permanent set up are a place to put one right now. You can see the set up in the last pic.

It looks AWESOME. On top of that, you did it within 48 hrs which is totally unbelievable!

Thanks. It was a great relax build for me. This kit is very simple with very few parts for a MG kit.
